Stream Permitting

TLI provides assistance where permitting is required for construction work proposed in or near streams. Most of the permitting is associated with the Joint Application Permit, which is reviewed by various agencies. The permit name and corresponding agency for that particular permit are listed below.

• Section 10 Permit – Federal Rivers and Harbor Act Permit issued by Army Corps of Engineers
• SPA 124 Permit – Montana Stream Protection Act Permit issued by Fish Wildlife and Parks
• 310 Permit – Montana Natural Streambed and Land Preservation Act Permit issued by the location conservation cistrict
• 318 Authorization Permit – Short term water quality standard for turbidity issued by the Montana Department of Environmental Quality
• Section 404 Permit – Federal Clean Water Act Permit issued by the Army Corps of Engineers
• Lake Shore Permitting – permit issued by local jurisdictions
