Civil Engineering

Civil engineering deals with the design, construction, and maintenance of infrastructure. Although civil engineering does include additional works, Territorial-Landworks, Inc. specializes in commercial site design, residential site design, design of roads, water systems, sewer systems, storm sewer systems, pedestrian and bicycle facilities, irrigation systems, and retaining walls throughout Western Montana. In addition to designing these public improvements, TLI also performs various construction services including contract administration, construction oversight, and as-built and record drawings.

We extend our engineering consulting services to government entities, businesses, and independent property owners. Each of these markets has distinctly different needs and motivations. Our ability to appreciate the unique concerns of each of these market segments and work with them to develop solutions to their specific problems make TLI the engineering company of choice in Western Montana. We understand that we can only be successful if our clients are successful.

For example, TLI is committed to accurate recordkeeping and budget tracking for our government clients. We understand this client group is accountable to both elected officials and the public in general. We make every effort to provide accurate and effective budget tracking and proactively resolve issues before they arise.

For private sector clients (developers, builders, contractors, architects, corporations, etc), our focus is on extraordinary service. We treat each project as if we are investing our own money. We find innovative infrastructure cost savings solutions and are responsive to changing workloads so that deadlines are met. We have developed proprietary processes to support efficient production methods and invoicing. We are flexible with our private sector clients who often require a level of conformity to their internal processes.

In support of our independent property owner clients, we make a point to fully explain the work process in understandable terms and seek to find the least expensive and most effective solution, with the smallest exposure to liability. The TLI staff consists of five Montana licensed Professional Engineers, three registered Engineer Interns, two Montana licensed Professional Land Surveyors, and one registered Land Survey Intern, along with survey field crews, design drafters, and administrative support.
